Happy (Almost) Labor Day from the farm!
What a season! We can't believe summer is already coming to a close and that this is the last week of the CSA for our Summer and 9 week shares. We are sad to see so many of you go, so we put together an extra special box for your sendoff! Join us for the 2018 season - we'll be sure to let your know when registration opens this fall :)
For those of you sticking around with us, keep an eye on out for more information on our fall events calendar. We will be continuing our DIY Pizza Pie workshops on Friday evenings! Make sure you sign up ahead of time through our website as each one has been sold out.
In addition to our fall events, here is a sneak peak of what we have to look forward to from the field this fall: Sweet Potatoes, Brussel Sprouts, Cabbage, Arugula, Mustard Greens, Sunchokes and Winter Squash. The fall is our favorite time of year on the East End! It is also a time of year where our field crew gets to spend a little less time harvesting and a little more time on field projects like weeding and other field maintenance. You'll be seeing a lot more tractor activity as we plan to mow spent crops, glean the rest of the food out there, turn over the fields and plant fall cover crops to protect against erosion during the harsh winter months.
As for our farm market, we'll be staying open 7 days a week 7am-7pm for now!
