Hi from the farm!
This week, it is time for us to start planting our garlic! A weekly staple in our CSA box, this is a big project for our crew and marks the beginning of the end of another great season. Our crew will start to break away at the end of the month, but luckily we have been cruising through our fall "To Do" List. Still on the list includes garlic planting, removing more plastic mulch from the fields, seeding some more cover crop, digging the last few beds of sweet potatoes and gleaning the fields of leftover food to be processed and canned for the winter.
We have had such an incredibly warm fall and have summer food much later than we usually do. It is a first for us to have sweet peppers and eggplant this late into the season. Coupled with our fall cabbage and our mature lemongrass - this week's box has a stir fry theme that we are pretty excited about!
