A Childhood memory for every Italian-American. A time for generations to work together, practice recipes created by ancestors and pass them on to the future of the family. This event doesn’t have the formality of a Saturday night dinner party—it’s more of a community effort and a chance to decompress. Since Sunday night is a “school/work night,” an afternoon or early evening meal covers both lunch and dinner and lets everyone get home in time to prepare for the upcoming week. A perfect time to wind down and enjoy sitting around a common table with friends and family. This meal will be Southern Italian inspired recipes highlighting the harvest of one of the most important crops in Italian cuisine and on our farm— The Tomato.
