This season, for the first time, Amber Waves Farm is the owner and operator of the iconic Amagansett Farmers Market. We have been working hard all winter to get the market ready for the season and have hired a fantastic market crew, led by our new manager Juliana Nash. For us, it’s important that for the first time in ten years the market onsite is a part of the farm operation itself and will be a four-season home base for us to showcase our products and welcome the community for educational programming. This year we’re starting small and going back to basics at the market. We will feature our produce and some of the great veggies our neighbors grow. We’ll also have flowers, Carissa’s Breads, local cheese, and fruits as the season goes on. You’ll find coffee, newspapers, a pantry and dry goods section, along with dairy staples and delicious prepared foods. Our commitment to sourcing products locally is at the center of the market’s mission, so we have prioritized Long Island and East End products and also have a good representation of New York state, along with a handful of items that we love that have traveled longer distances to arrive at the market. The market will also be the new home base for Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program pickup.

The market is a reflection of our food ethos and lifestyle and the products we are selling embrace wellness, sustainability, and conscientious eating. Our mission is to promote and celebrate our local food shed and the products from our favorite farmers and food artisans in the northeast region. The market is a representation of our values as farmers and we aim to share good wholesome food with our customers and to ensure they have an enjoyable and educational shopping experience. We take great responsibility and pride in educating our customers about where their food comes from and the farmers and food producers that are making products that positively affect our environment and community.
