Foraging at the Farm

Add To Cart

During this workshop, participants will learn how to better utilize herbs in their daily lives. Dawn will walk us around Amber Waves Farm to study, identify and harvest the medicinal plants that grow wild in our area.  We will discuss the benefits of backyard ‘weeds’ and how we can use them for homemade remedies.  We will also explore the Amber Waves Farm herb garden to touch, see, smell, and taste over 30 varieties of herbs that can be used for food, medicine & fragrances.  Dawn will demonstrate how to make an herbal tincture, an herb infused oil and a sun tea.  Everyone will go home with their own herbal tincture and recipe cards for continued experimentation!
