Italian Sunday Supper

Italian Sunday Supper
175.00

A Childhood memory for every Italian-American. A time for generations to work together, practice recipes created by ancestors and pass them on to the future of the family. This event doesn’t have the formality of a Saturday night dinner party—it’s more of a community effort and a chance to decompress. Since Sunday night is a “school/work night,” an afternoon or early evening meal covers both lunch and dinner and lets everyone get home in time to prepare for the upcoming week. A perfect time to wind down and enjoy sitting around a common table with friends and family. This meal will be Southern Italian inspired recipes highlighting the harvest of one of the most important crops in Italian cuisine and on our farm— The Tomato. Meal cooked by Chef Jack Formica Starts 6:30pm Sunday, August 26th

Wellness Foundation Presents: WKids Farm Fresh Cooking Series at Amber Waves

This fun summer series helps families get back to the roots of healthy eating! We're extremely fortunate to be surrounded by farms on the East End or, as we sometimes refer to them, outdoor classrooms! Our WKids on the Farm summer programs allow us to tie all the important concepts together. It's a wonderful way for kids to gain a deeper understanding of where food comes from and the tremendous difference between the true meaning of natural and farm-fresh! Kids and parents have a great time harvesting fresh produce on the farm and participating in interactive cooking demonstrations with our awesome WKids Chef Christina Cassel. These sessions are great opportunities for children and parents to learn together. In addition to useful tips and easy to implement strategies, families will get to try amazingly delicious dishes and take home the recipes! This program offers kids a true farm to table experience!
