Calçotada: A Spanish Celebration for the Beginning of the Season

Calçotada: A Spanish Celebration for the Beginning of the Season
from 115.00

A celebration of Spring in Spain, and in our case Summer! The calçots are a kind of green onions that they grow for the purpose of eating them in these local festivities called “calçotada”. They are roasted over open flames and eaten by hand accompanied with Romesco sauce and lots of red wine. This meal will be accompanied by seasonal tapas (small bites and plates) highlighting the start of Summer. We will have the head winemaker of Palmer Vineyards pouring and discussing some beautiful wines that pair perfectly with the traditional Spanish menu! An incredibly delicious, fun and messy event cooked by Chef Jack Formica. Starts at 6:30 pm Friday, June 29th.

Italian Sunday Supper

A Childhood memory for every Italian-American. A time for generations to work together, practice recipes created by ancestors and pass them on to the future of the family. This event doesn’t have the formality of a Saturday night dinner party—it’s more of a community effort and a chance to decompress. Since Sunday night is a “school/work night,” an afternoon or early evening meal covers both lunch and dinner and lets everyone get home in time to prepare for the upcoming week. A perfect time to wind down and enjoy sitting around a common table with friends and family. This meal will be Southern Italian inspired recipes highlighting the harvest of one of the most important crops in Italian cuisine and on our farm— The Tomato. Meal cooked by Chef Jack Formica Starts 4:30pm Sunday, August 26th
