We are thrilled to welcome Jessica Heberle, the artist responsible for the Amber Waves Herb Garden illustrations for a hands on workshop in watercolors! In this two-hour course, participants will observe, sketch and paint a botanical watercolor illustration. Each participant will explore the farm and pick a plant, fruit, vegetable or herb they would like to study and turn into a painting.
During this workshop, participants will practice a variety of techniques in watercolor painting, explore methods such as washes and texture, and practice creating a full range of hues, shades and tones. Painting from nature is an important tool in developing botanical illustrations and offers a great opportunity for you to explore and get to know plants in an up-close and personal way!
